LNOC ORIENTATES EXECUTIVE COMMITTEES OF ITS NATIONAL SPORT FEDERATIONS

The Lesotho National Olympic Committee which also serves as the Commonwealth Games Lesotho has been granted an opportunity by the Olympic Solidarity to implement is strategic objective 2.1 that of “Ensuring stakeholders Support and loyalty ”. The initiative is conducted through an orientation of the newly elected executive committee members whose term started late in 2022. The activity which was held virtually targeted executive committee members from the sixteen (16) National Sport Federations. The session has been segmented in two phases; whereby the first phase was conducted on Sunday , the 12th February 2023 while the second phase will be held on Sunday, the 26th February 2023. The attendance has been scheduled as follows:

7. Federation of Gymnastics Lesotho (FGL)
8. Equestrian Association Lesotho (EAL)
Sunday 26th February 2023 Session
1. Lesotho Baseball & Softball Association (LBSA)
2. Lesotho Cricket Association (LCA)
3. Federation of DanceSport Lesotho (FEDALE)
4. Lesotho Cue Sport Federation (LECUFE)
5. Chess Federation Lesotho (CFL)
6. Lesotho Primary School Sports Association (LEPSSA)
7. Lesotho Institute Sports Association (LISA)
8. Lesotho Universities & Colleges Association (LUCSA)
The objective of this session is to orientate sport administrators with the LNOC Operations and also to equip them with the content on the following topics: Basic Universal Principles of Good Governance & Dispute Resolution and Management; Olympic Solidarity Programs for National Federations and Athletes; Internal procedures for processing National Federations requests; Olympic Values; Anti-Doping Education; Roles & Responsibilities of Athletes Commission; Safe Guarding in Sports; and Inclusive Gender Equality & Diversity. The presentations will be made by experts trained from each field including the LNOC Senior Management Team.
