A meaningful moment of remembrance and recognition unfolded as LNOC President Letsatsi NTSIBOLANE (Mr.) met with Mrs. Mamocheko MOOROSI, the wife of Lesotho’s first Olympian, Motsapi MOOROSI. The meeting served as a tribute to a man whose footsteps on the track helped place Lesotho on the global sporting map.
Motsapi MOOROSI proudly represented Lesotho at the 1972 Munich Olympic Games, becoming the first Olympic athlete from Lesotho. A dominant African sprinter of his era, MOOROSI advanced to the quarter-finals in the 200 metres, showcasing his exceptional speed and determination on the world stage.
We salute you Mrs MOOROSI for keeping the legacy to uplift our sporting generation.
