Today, the Lesotho Commonwealth Games Association (CGA), the Government of Lesotho, National Sport Federations, athletes, and other stakeholders proudly welcomed Team Lesotho home at Makoanyane Square following their outstanding performance at the Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games.

The delegation, comprising 14 athletes and team officials, arrived in Maseru at 5:00 PM and received a warm and jubilant reception led by the Honourable Minister of Sports, Hon. Mputi Mputi.

The celebrations continue tomorrow as Team Lesotho pays a courtesy visit to the Right Honourable the Prime Minister at State House at 11:00 AM. During the visit, our history-making boxing bronze medallists, Pooana Khoahli and Rapelang Maselela, will proudly present the Commonwealth Games bronze medals they won for the Kingdom of Lesotho.

The celebrations will then continue with the public at Makoanyane Square from 12:00 noon, where Basotho are invited to join in honouring our national heroes and celebrating this historic achievement.
