The Lesotho National Olympic Committee through its education unit known as Lesotho Olympic Academy, Culture and Education Commission will hold a 05th Young Participants Session 2019. The session is tailored for the young athletes aged 18-35 from different National Sport Federations. The activity will be held on Monday, the 8th to Friday, the 13th December 2019 at Mophato oa Morija, Morija. This intervention comes as a response towards the LNOC Long Term Strategic Plan of 2017-2024 objective of ‘Promotion of philosophy of Olympism’. 58 young participants will directly benefit from this seminar. The participants will be introduced to Olympism and its ideals and therefore increase their knowledge of Olympic Movement through dynamic interactions with others in the culturally diverse community of participants from different sporting federations and other Institutions identified for participation. The Session will provide a local forum for free expression and exchange of ideas on Olympism as well as stimulating an academic environment where Olympic ideals will be nurtured. The session has been themed ‟EMBRACING GOVERNANCE IN LESOTHO SPORT LEGACY”, with a special basic subject of ‟EXCELLENCE”. The seminar will be fumed through presentations to be made by the Guests Speakers invited by the Olympic Academy. The last day of the session ,participants will be awarded with the certificates of participation. The event will be graced by the presence of the Honourable Minister of Gender & Youth, Sports and Recreation who will officially open the seminar on Monday the 8th December 2019.
