Our ICECP scholarship holder, Marumo Moloisane, is currently training Taekwondo coaches on the latest dynamics, methodologies, and technical skills in the sport of Taekwondo. This training forms part of his professional learning programme and scheduled deliverables, with a total of 35 coaches participating in the course.
Marumo’s enrolment in the International Coaching Enrichment Certificate Program (ICECP) does not only benefit him as a professional coach, but it is also expected to significantly strengthen the technical capacity and coaching standards of Taekwondo in Lesotho upon completion of his programme. The programme is supported by Olympic Solidarity (OS) in collaboration with the University of Delaware and other international partners, ensuring world-class coaching education and best practices.
The course is concluding today at the PTC, where both theoretical and practical components formed an integral part of the training schedule. Participants were exposed to modern coaching techniques, athlete development models, performance analysis, and practical on-mat coaching applications to enhance their effectiveness as coaches.
This initiative marks an important step toward developing elite athletes and improving the overall quality of Taekwondo coaching in Lesotho.
