The Lesotho National Olympic Committee (LNOC) conducted Sports Administration Course Level I. The course was launched in Qachas Nek from Monday, the 29th July 2024 and ended on Friday, the 02nd August 2024. The course provides primary content for the learning experience and it consists of six modules, which are: The Foundations of Olympic Movement; Financing Olympic Movement; Olympic Values; Anti- Doping; Safeguarding in Sports; Developing Athletes; Athlete 365; Sports Science; Technology in Sports; Driving Social Change through Sports; Developing Coaching leadership; Inclusive and Gender equality; Sustainability in Sports; Sports Ethics; and Arbitration Dispute Resolution.
The SAC Level I aims to equip participants with the knowledge and tools to help bring about change and improvements in their sports organisations. It targets the members of the National Sport Federations at District Level who are responsible for the development of sport, or individuals that are responsible for managing projects in a sport organisation at District Level.
The course was officially closed by the District Administrator of Qacha Nek – Mr. Habofanoe PHEKO in a presence of District Education Manager Mr. Lebenya MOTHIBELI and LNOC Chief of Operation Mrs. Mathato MAKHOROLE.
